We are a family owned and operated company that started selling MI cleaning products to resin producers in 1987. From a few plants in Texas, Massachusets and Ohio, our company now sells to manufacturers on almost every continent of the world. Our founder and namesake, William "Bill" Agler, passed away in 2007 but his legacy carries on with the assistance of his daughter and two grandsons.
Agler Products supplies quality control labs in manufacturing plants and polymer producing plants. The brushes and patches are utilized to clean the barrel of melt rheometers and melt index machines. Our rods allow for the quality control personnel to better grip and clean the barrels. The mini brushes are used to clean out the MI orifice without causing damage as drill-bit type cleaners do.

BRUSHES, PATCHES, RODS
& ORIFICE BRUSHES
Agler Products has been providing brushes to the plastics industry since 1987. The brushes are made with a quality fill (phosphorus bronze or brass). The couplings provide strength to our brushes and enable the brush to be firmly mounted to the brush stem. Your barrel will be clean without being scratched. The quantity can be packaged to your needs, however a discount is provided for larger bulk orders.
MELT INDEX ORIFICE BRUSHES
In 1990 we were approached by a Q.C. Lab in the southern U.S. about developing a brush that could replace the "drill-bit" cleaners they had for their orifices. After overcoming engineering challanges dealing with strength and size, we were able to provide a .09" dia. orifice brush (#10455). Other sizes followed when specific requests were made. They are made with .003" brass wire fill (stainless-steel option available) with a sturdy twisted loop handle. The quantity can be packaged to your needs, however a discount is provided for larger bulk orders.
CLEANING PATCHES
Our patches are made with 100% cotton flannel which is naturally absorbent. They are ravel resistant and will not melt in the hot melt index barrel. The patches assist to wipe the barrel clean for more accurate test results. They are available in packs of 1,000 and a discount is given for case quantity orders.
CLEANING RODS FOR MELT INDEX
Our cleaning rods are made with a stainless steel shaft and will not scratch your barrel. It is assembled with an easy grip contoured handle made of chemical resistant foam. It provides superior torque for cleaning. The adapters seen below are utilized for larger brushes (such as the #10422) with a 5/16-27" coupling thread.
